Granite slabs

Granite slab (also called slab) is a large-sized slab. The thickness can be different: 20, 30 or50 mm. Slab is the largest seamless facing material in terms of area. Its texture is ideal for many design solutions in both exterior and interior decoration. It has the highest strength, durability, moisture and frost resistance.

Slabs are produced by cutting with large circular saws and wire saws. Can be made from any granite stone mined in large blocks. In Ukraine, slabs began to be produced relatively recently, but in Europe they have long gained popularity.

A special advantage of the slab is its larger size, which allows the stone to be used in the decoration of walls, facades, and plinths, which gives a holistic shape and avoids a large number of joints.

Finishing facades with granite has always been relevant. The facade of the building, made of granite, carries reliability, declares the high status of the owner and adds confidence in the future.

Slabs vary in size and are used for the manufacture of the following products:

  • Large size cladding slabs for finishing facades;
  • Countertops, barbecue areas, fireplace mantels;
  • Large format slabs of non-standard sizes for floors;
  • Internal and external steps;
  • Memorial complexes and monuments, individual ritual items.

During the production process, slabs are most often immediately polished. Polished stone looks more aesthetically pleasing and expensive, and is used in most finishing cases. It is used for cladding walls and making steps indoors.

If the surface must be non-slippery, heat treatment is done. Heat-treated slabs are used for external steps and floors.

By using granite slabs for surface cladding, you get a continuous, unique pattern over a large area.

A tabletop, a panel over a fireplace or a window sill made from slab undoubtedly looks great and unique.

Interior finishing with granite slabs is widely used in both urban (apartments, penthouses) and suburban construction and landscape design.

They help you feel the breath and harmony of nature.
